Recalled for Fire Risk: Area Rugs Sold By Amazon Fail Federal Flammability Standards
Several area rugs sold by Amazon have been recalled due to a fire risk. The rugs, made by multiple manufacturers, fail to meet federal flammability standards. Here’s what consumers need to know.

The recalled rugs include YOH Super Soft Purple Rugs imported by Suellen Roosevein, Pacapet Fluffy Pink Area Rugs and Andecor Girls Soft Tye Dye Area Rugs imported by And Beyond — all of which were manufactured in China. As of the Aug. 12 recall announcements published by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, no incidents or injuries have been reported.

YOH Super Soft Purple Rugs
The YOH Super Soft Purple Rugs were sold by Amazon from December 2020 to March 2021 for about $50. Importer Suellen Roosevein of China is warning consumers to stop using the recalled rugs immediately. Contact the company by email at suellenroosevein@outlook.com for instructions on how to receive a full refund. Amazon is contacting all known purchasers directly.
Pacapet Fluffy Pink Area Rugs
These area rugs were imported by Pacapet of China and sold on Amazon.com between May 2020 and March 2021 for about $50. If you have one of these rugs, stop using it immediately. Email Pacapet at anzhi123789@outlook.com to find out how to return your rug in exchange for a full refund. Amazon is reaching out to known purchasers.
Andecor Girls Soft Tye Dye Area Rugs
The Andecor Girls Soft Tye Dye Area Rugs were sold exclusively by Amazon from December 2020 through February 2021 for about $80. And Beyond Inc. of China is telling purchasers to stop using these rugs. Contact the company via email at yangguang_789@outlook.com for instructions on how to receive a full refund. Amazon is also contacting known purchasers.
