About 155,000 lounge chairs sold exclusively at Dollar General have been recalled after reports of amputations and lacerations. The sling loungers can suddenly collapse, posing a risk of amputation, laceration or pinching if extremities are caught in the metal joints.

According to the Aug. 4 recall alert published by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, there have been three reports of the sling loungers collapsing, resulting in cuts or amputations of fingers.

This recall involves specifically the True Living Sling Loungers with white frames and blue or green fabric covers. The UPC number — 430001047344 — can be found on the receipt. The loungers were manufactured by Shanghai Worth Garden Products of Shanghai, China, and were sold at Dollar General stores in the U.S. between January 2019 and September 2019 for about $20.

Dollar General is telling consumers to stop using these loungers immediately. If you own one, you should render it unusable by cutting the fabric.
