TJX is recalling about 4,300 swivel counters stools because they can break or collapse, posing a fall risk and injury hazards. The Consumer Product Safety Commission is warning consumers to stop using the recalled stools immediately.

According to the Aug. 18 recall alert, TJX Companies Inc. of Framingham, Mass., has received 20 reports of the stools breaking and users falling. Seventeen minor injuries have been reported.

This recall involves swivel counter stools with wooden legs, fabric backrests and rivet trim. To check if your stool falls under this recall, look for one of these style numbers printed on the chair’s hang tag: 61057, 61063, 61064, 62332, 65129, 65130, 66413 or 66414.

The stools were manufactured in China and sold at HomeGoods, Homesense and HomeGoods/T.J. Maxx or Marshalls combination stores between January 2021 and May 2021 for about $130.
